Once again, the 85th Annual Red Bluff Round-Up is more than just a rodeo! You are going to find a whole host of activities throughout “Tehama Country,” from April 9-17, sponsored by several area organizations and co-ordinated by the Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce. Round-Up Week festivities are kicked off with the “running of the bucking horses” through town as local rodeo stock provider John Growney and his crew herd over 100 rodeo horses down Main Street… just like they did in the good old days! This procession is preceded by rip-roarin’ Chili Cook-Off, live entertainment, pony rides, a kiddie parade, a car show, and food & souvenir booths… all in the downtown area. Chocolate paradise in Paradise. The Boys and Girls Club of the Paradise Ridge present a chocolate extravaganza at the Terry Ashe Park in Paradise on Saturday May 13, 2006. This is the place to indulge your love of all things chocolate. Events include a Chocolate Queen Contest and Dance on Thursday, May 11th and a Chocolate & Wine Tasting on Friday May 12th to kick off the festivities. On Saturday morning the festival will start with a pancake breakfast complete with chocolate syrup and chocolate chips. Throughout the day there will be entertainment, ice cream sundaes for sale, children’s games as well as a chocolate pie-eating contest, Oreo cookie stacking contest and much more. Greg`s career as a financial trader is winding down, while Kate`s career, as a public-school English teacher, is beginning to offer her more opportunities. Greg brings home a dog he found in the park bearing only the name "Sylvia" on her name tag. A street-smart mixture of Lab and Poodle, Sylvia becomes a major bone of contention between husband and wife. She offers Greg an escape from the frustrations of this job and the unknowns of middle age. To Kate, Sylvia becomes a rival for affection. The marriage is put in serious jeopardy until, after a series of hilarious and touching complications. Greg and Kate learn to compromise, and Sylvia becomes a valued part of their lives.
