This assignment will requre you to take a normal advertisment and design a serious or comedic spoof as demonstrated by the example. You must develop a strong adea through the use of precise selections and enhancements in Photoshop.
1. Print Size: Your choice.
2. Search in magazines or on the internet for an advertisement you would like to alter.
3. Scan or import the ad into photoshop.
4. Add addition layers from the Layer Palette to alter the original photograph.
5. To alter the original text of an ad, select are area around it using a selection marquee. Press Delete to delete the text. (see left photo above)
6. Then, use the eyedropper tool to pick the color of the background.
6. Use the paintbucket tool and cover the old space with the background color.
7. Select the text tool and add your own wording. Size...style...font...etc.
8. Alter the overall message of the ad (see right photo above)
9. Flatten the image and Save As: Advertising.
