Catalyst: Domestic Violence Services
Domestic violence intervention includes emergency shelter, 24-hour crisis line 895-8476 or 1-800-895-8476. Support groups for women and children, individual counseling, community education, referrals. (530) 343-7711

Catholic Ladies Relief Society, Chico No. 3
Food, lodging, prescriptions, bus tickets and utilities for individuals and families on an emergency and temporary basis. A food locker is operated Monday through Friday. (530) 895-8331

Chico Community Children's Center
Provides a well-planned child development program for low- and moderate-income families who are in training or working, including community agency referrals. (530) 891-5363

Chico Meals on Wheels
Delivery of daily hot, nutritious meals to people physically unable to prepare meals for themselves. (530) 343-9147

Community Action Volunteers in Education (CAVE)
More than 20 educational and recreational programs for children, the elderly, special populations, adult non-readers and other community agencies needing volunteer services. (530) 898-5817

Discovery World Child Development Programs
Provides quality child care and development services to children from low- to moderate-income families with parents who are working or in training. (530) 343-9349

Do-It Leisure
Recreation activities, socialization opportunities, community integration programs for individuals with disabilities. Special therapeutic recreation programs for independent living skills or other special needs. (530) 343-6055

Child Abuse Prevention Center
Promoting the well-being of families by providing parent education, counseling and resource and referral services. (530) 894-8920

Glenn County Human Resource Agency, Community Action Division
Provides emergency food, temporary shelter, information and referral, and assistance to obtain permanent housing for Glenn County residents. (530) 934-6510

Independent Living Services of Northern California
Consumer-run organization empowering persons with disabilities to achieve and maintain their optimal level of self-reliance and independence through a variety of direct and referral services. (530) 893-8527

Northern Valley Catholic Social Service
NVCSS Offers programs including counseling, teen parent services, intensive in home visitation, youth violence prevention, court appointed special advocates and housing for special needs populations.(530) 345-1600

Paradise Hospice
Provides professional caring help and a variety of support services to Paradise-area residents and their families, all at no cost. (530) 877-8755

Paradise Meals on Wheels
Delivers nutritious meals to frail, homebound area residents, enabling them to maintain their health, independence and dignity while remaining in their own homes. (530) 877-8707

Rape Crisis Intervention
Aid to survivors of sexual assault, current or past, in crisis intervention; accompaniment to hospital, law enforcement, court; counseling and support groups; public education programs. (530) 891-1331

Sierra Cascade Girl Scout Council
Learning opportunities for girls age 5-17 in the worlds of science, arts, the out-of-doors, well-being, and people, through a broad range of activities. (530) 343-1904

Strive
Non-profit organization for adults with disabilities, those living alone who like to socialize. Strive stands for taking what you have and striving for something better. (530) 877-0829

Peg Taylor Center for Adult Day Health Care
Eldercare, including respite, support groups for caregivers, health care, activities, social services to enable the elderly and younger adults with disabling conditions to live at home. (530) 342-2345

Glenn County 4-H
Over 450 children participate in learning opportunities, livestock events and camp. 4-H encourages and teaches today's youth to be tomorrow's community leaders. (530) 865-1107
